Following on from our previous event “Changes affecting release and recall provisions: impact on access to justice and prison law work on Mon 9 June 2025″ we are now accepting bookings for a follow up session on Thursday 17 July 2025 17:30 to 18:30.
This follow up session presented by Laura Janes and Yasmin Karabasic will:
- Provide a brief update on developments since the last presentation in terms of FTR48 and the Gauke Review
- Outline APL’s submission on funding to the MoJ consultation on fees and concerns raised with the Legal Aid Minister
- Provide an opportunity for members to discuss the proposed changes and ask questions

We were very pleased to get so much positive feedback about how useful the last session was. We did not charge for this session and there is no set fee for the follow up session. But we would be grateful for a contribution to cover the administrative costs involved with putting on training – suggested at £5 per person. Our presenters are not paid.
